2001 Seattle Mariners' 116 win season and the 116th world series

This is the year of the 116th world series and 19 years after the Mariners won 116 games only to disappear from the postseason for the next 19 years

Seattle = 19

The 2001 MLB season was the 102nd season and 2020 is the 120th. 102 and 120 are both really just the number 12 when you ignore the zero.

The Mariners won their 116th game against the Texas Rangers

Notice how that game was rescheduled because of 9/11?

Mariners = 119, if you flip the 9 it's 116

All-seeing eye = 119, master plan = 119

"double-headed eagle" = 116

The 116th world series will take place in Arlington, Texas which is the home of the Texas Rangers

The numbers 85 and 89 both equal 116

The Dodgers won the 85th world series and the Braves lost to the Blue Jays in the 89th world series. Both teams are playing one another in the NLCS.

Keep in mind that the Braves are originally from Boston and the Dodgers' last world series was a loss to the Boston Red Sox. There was also that Dodgers-Red Sox trade earlier in the year that brought Mookie Betts to LA.

Boston = 85

Boston, Massachusetts = 116
